  • Overview

Kat lives on a fishing boat with six tough but soft-hearted sailors. She has just one big wish: to learn to swim. The fishermen think that’s crazy—water is not for humans, water is for fish! But Kat doesn’t give up easily.

At last they agree to teach her but each crew member insists Kat learns to swim their way—laps of the deck before dawn for fitness, breath training with a bucket of seawater, doing the frog and the swordfish for stroke practice.

Kat starts to wonder if any one on this fishing boat knows how to swim at all. It’s up to Kat to find a way to get six water-wary sailors splashing in the sea.
