  • Overview

    ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

The latest book by the acclaimed author of Federico (one of the best comics of the year, according to The Objective, and one of the 30 best biographies, according to Elle), “an artist taking illustration to its highest level” (Andreu Buenafuente.)

“A great artist and storyteller.” Elvira Lindo

July, 2023. Our narrator returns to The City, where she lived for eight years, willing to shape a book about that moment in her life. She is now very different from the young woman who arrived there in 2011 with a thousand euros in her pocket and the naive urge to work “on her thing.” And coming back makes her relive plenty of her insecurities.

While reuniting with friends that stayed there and seeing happy and not-so-happy memories surface, a not very self-indulgent reflection breaks through about identity and rootlessness, scarcity, the concepts of “home,” “friendship,” and “family,” and finally, about drawing itself as refuge and lifeline.

Cruising from past to present, A House in The City is about searching for your place in the world and the assertion that life is nothing more than what happens during this very quest.
