Overview
This anthology contains a selection of poems by Bei Dao, Luljeta Lleshanaku, Gary Snyder, and eleven other internationally renowned poets hailing from Albania, Egypt, Germany, Japan, Mexico, the United States, Mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. These poets originally assembled in Hong Kong in November of 2009 to attend a gala celebration of poetry and recitation: International Poetry Nights in Hong Kongthe first such gathering in the territory's history. These works, selected by the poets themselves, are published in their original language as well as in Chinese and English. Included is a documentary DVD recording the remarkable events of this unique gathering and the backgrounds of the poets who participated.
