First published in 1930 and quickly adapted into both a Broadway play and a Hollywood film. THE INVISIBLE HOST is a chilling locked room thriller which traps eight dinner guests in a New Orleans penthouse with a host who communicates only by radio,and death as their just desserts.
An actress, a businessman, a lawyer, a playwright. A politician, two professors, a butler, and a socialite. All have been invited for a lavish dinner party at a luxe New Orleans penthouse. After enjoying a superb meal, they are greeted by their host via the radio, who informs them that they will all die before the night is through. The penthouse has been booby-trapped, so there's no escaping their fates. As one guest, then another, then another meets their carefully curated deaths, the rest begin to wonder if the killer is not the absent host, but one of their own number.
