The Dispatches and Letters of Lord Nelson (1795 to 1797 Vol 2)

Horatio Nelson was an extraordinary letter writer - vivid and frank - and his collection of letters has been compared with those of Pepys, Byron and Keats. Yet, incredibly, the one great edition of these letters, edited by Nicolas and published between 1844 and 1846 has never been reprinted despite its crucial importance to our understanding of Nelson and his times.
