Serena Weston once owned her happy ending, at least until a philandering fiancé and a faulty revenge spell led to her unfortunate death. Now in limbo, she works for By-and-By as a Cupid. Every practical, painstakingly arranged match brings her closer to a second life. Too many Cupids breach their contracts by falling in love, but that’s no risk for Serena. Once she satisfies her debt, she’ll never deal in love again. In the meantime, she’ll tolerate office politics, team check-ins, and her work nemesis Daniel Hayes. He has no respect for the mission, fulfilling his obligations through shortcuts and drunken hook-ups. And he’s doing it in half the time Serena is.
