Overview
An A–Z guide to 26 true insects featuring Oliver Weiss’s signature collage art, blending humor and scientific facts to engage curious young entomologists
From the hardworking ant to the striped zebra butterfly, this isn’t your average alphabet picture book. By focusing exclusively on true insects (no spiders or ticks!), The Bug Book provides an engaging introduction to entomology that is as educational as it is entertaining. Each page is a vibrant discovery zone where children meet the tiny powerlifters of the forest and the adorable faces of the weevil kingdom through engaging fun facts and humorous insights.
Masterfully crafted with mixed-media collages and hand-drawn elements by award-winning illustrator Oliver Weiss, the visuals pop off every page. Perfect for classroom read-alouds, nature-themed gifts, or bedtime exploration, this book is a must-have for any child who has ever spent an afternoon peering into the grass in search of tiny wonders.
