Overview
St. Nicolai ist die ältere der beiden evangelisch-lutherischen Stadtpfarrkirchen in der lippischen Stadt Lemgo, deren ungleiche Türme mit den hohen Helmen von vielen Punkten der Stadt aus zu sehen sind. Um 1190 wurde der Grundstein für St. Nicolai gelegt. Im Stil einer "Hallenkirche" zeigt St. Nicolai den Übergang von Romanik zur Gotik. Die Inneneinrichtung der Kirche stammt überwiegend aus dem 16. Jahrhundert. Seit 1527 feiert die Gemeinde lutherischen Gottesdienst.
