  • Overview

    Die Ursprünge der St. Michaelskirche zu Fürth sind bis ins 11. Jahrhundert zurückzuverfolgen. Die heutige Gestalt des Saalbaues ist jedoch hauptsächlich nachreformatorischen Zeiten verpflichtet. Um 1675 wurde die Kirche dem Zeitgeschmack gemäß barockisiert. Zwischen 1629 und 1704 wurde dann die u-förmige Emporen-Anlage eingebaut. Der Kircheninnenraum ist dadurch besonders auffällig, dass die gesamte neugotische Einrichtung in den Farben Grün und Gold gehalten ist.
