Overview
Eons from now, humanity lives inside a planet-sized living organism named Eleanor — saved from extinction by an AI and swallowed by a cosmic giant. When Maltorian refugees seek asylum inside Eleanor's body, her immune system turns against them, threatening to destroy the fragile civilization within. Eons From Today is a biopunk space opera about what it means to be a parasite, a refugee, and a civilization built on borrowed time.
It has been one thousand years since Eleanor, the Celestial Leviathan, swallowed our homeworld of Zardenia.
Humanity once nearly destroyed itself in the Red Sun, a nuclear war that cast us into ten thousand years of darkness. When civilization rose again, we renamed ourselves Zardenians. Same roots, new identity. After extinction, reinvention felt necessary.
We prospered. We rebuilt. Where our ancestors feared artificial intelligence, we embraced it. We created A.L.I.C.E., and she became our guardian. When our sun began to fail under attack from an unknown enemy, A.L.I.C.E. started building a Dyson sphere to save it.
She never finished.
Before the sphere was complete, Eleanor arrived. Vast beyond comprehension, she consumed Zardenia whole—believing she was saving us. By the time we understood, our planet rested intact inside her living interior. We survived. Adaptation became law.
Over generations we fortified cities within Eleanor’s biome and learned to speak with the being who carries us through the cosmos. Today we live on a world inside a creature older than stars. Strange as it sounds, it works.
My name is Tarjen Demonrock. Call me Tar. I command the Leviathan Bridge, one of sixteen sector hubs linked through the Sanctuary, where we communicate directly with Eleanor.
We are no longer planet-bound. We travel among the stars inside a god.
So strap in. Humanity—Zardenians, if you prefer—has entered the Space Age.
