Overview
He may be the smallest dragon in the arena, but he refuses to let that stop him.
Jory knows the odds are stacked against him. Smaller than the other dragons his age, he'll have to work twice as hard to prove he belongs among Savra's greatest heroes.
At the Fire Ridge Tournament, the realm's greatest young dragons battle with blazing lava, freezing ice, crushing tail strikes, and heart-pounding duels for the chance to become Valor Dragons. Only the bravest competitors will earn the honor of joining Savra's legendary dragon protectors.
But when Jory is matched against dragons bigger, faster, and stronger than he is, he'll have to discover that true valor isn't measured by size...but by heart.
Filled with unforgettable characters, exciting dragon battles, laugh-out-loud moments, and action-packed illustrations throughout, Small Flames: Jory the Orange Dragon is an inspiring fantasy adventure about determination, kindness, and believing in yourself. Because the thing that makes you different might be your greatest strength.
Perfect for readers ages 6–10 who love:
- dragons with elemental powers
- epic tournaments and friendly competition
- action-packed fantasy adventures
- stories about courage, heart, and perseverance
