Overview
A spicy card game presented by Navessa Allen, author of the #1 New York Times bestseller Lights Out.
Dark romance fans can put their creativity to the test with Slow Burn: Dark Romance Edition, an original party game for 3 to 8 players that challenges romance readers to mix-and-match set-ups and story tropes as they compete to create the steamiest, silliest, or most deliciously dark combinations!
- Officially licensed with Navessa Allen: The bestselling author of the Into Darkness series presents this wickedly fun new card game that is perfect for fans of all her books (and which includes Easter eggs for each title!) as well as readers of H.D. Carlton, Sara Cate, Rina Kent, and other dark romance authors.
- All kinds of dark romance: Cards feature a huge variety of set-ups (dark fairytale retelling, Mafia dynasty), story arcs (enemies-to-lovers, marriage of convenience), character types (the stalker-turned-protector, the tech genius), and plot beats (there was only one bed), offering options that appeal to every dark romance reader.
- Simple gameplay: No complicated instructions needed—win rounds by throwing down the best combinations of tropes in the style of classic card games like Cards Against Humanity or Apples to Apples.
- Specs: The game includes 50 Set-Up cards, 250 Trope cards, and a fold-out instructions sheet, all housed in a sturdy lift-top box.
- Perfect for any occasion: Play at any gathering of dark romance lovers, from book club meetings to bachelorette parties.
- Multiple ways to play: Flying solo? The cards can also be used as prompts or inspiration for dark romance writers or as fun suggestions to help you find your next deliciously dark read or watch.
Mature content included, for audiences 18+.
