Racism Against Indigenous Peoples documents and analyzes the many forms of racism that indigenous peoples all over the world are still facing at the beginning of the new millennium.

Although many national constitutions prohibit racial discrimination, indigenous peoples are facing pervasive racial discrimination in their daily lives, which has far-reaching consequences for their well-being and human rights situation. The Concluding Observations of the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination, dealing with racism against indigenous peoples in all continents of the world, are discussed throughout the book, giving evidence to the grave situation of racial discrimination against indigenous peoples.

The book was published in connection with the UN World Conference Against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance held in South Africa, 2001.
