  • Overview

    ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

The covid-19 pandemic seems far away now. There are even those who claim it to be past history. But even if this “new normality” has allowed us to practically pick up everything where we left off before 2020, the emotional, spiritual, and social aftermath is evident: there are some still grieving who have not yet healed; we are more connected to technology, but more isolated from one another; inequality has worsened all over the world. And to make matters worse, there is always the possibility of a new pandemic.

Given this scenario, Marcelo Rittner invites us to reflect. What did we learn from the collective trauma of isolation? How do we encourage hope in a fragmented world? How do we reconnect with one another, and with ourselves? Do we surrender, resigned, to despair, or do we act and build the world we always dreamed about?

Prisoners of Hope is a collection of stories and meditations to help us realize that each problem brings forth a so-called change, that there is no better moment than now to take action for ourselves and others, and that it doesn’t matter how bad things get, if we have faith, we will ride out the storm and become a better version of ourselves.
