PreK Platinum Summer Connections Backpack

Prevent the "summer slide" and keep young minds active with Crabtree's Summer Backpacks. Each Platinum Level backpack includes 8 items: Welcome Guide, How to Help My Child: A Guide to Support Reading parent guide, My Summer Workbook, One decodable book, One "I Read You Read" book, One leveled fiction book, One nonfiction book, and One high interest book in a drawstring backpack. The Welcome Guide introduces the parent and the child to the contents of the backpack and provides ways to use the books over the summer. Parents and caregivers will be confident in providing support with reading by using How to Help My Child: A Guide to Support Reading. It explains to parents the Science of Reading and gives specific activities to use with their child to build reading skills. Students are able to keep up their reading, math, science, and social studies skills by using My Summer Workbook. A Choice Board gives suggested daily activities for learning, exercise, and fun. Students will keep their phonics and decoding skills sharp by reading the decodable book. The "I Read You Read" book is for shared reading with a parent or older sibling and is a fun and interactive way to enjoy a story. Students will go on an exciting adventure in the leveled fiction book. The nonfiction book will have students learning new facts and building background knowledge. The high interest book engages students to continue their reading with an entertaining topic. With the cloth, drawstring backpack, the summer reading journey can be taken anywhere.
