    ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

The debut meant to be one of the year’s biggest discoveries. A true story of love, family, desire, and violence.

“I heard of the Moth germ years ago. Every minute I waited was worth it. I devoured it in one night.” —Sabina Urraca

“Women’s freedom is slippery. It’s always hidden where you least expect it.”

This is the story of a search that began fifteen years ago, when the protagonist decides to land in Bosnia just out of journalism school. She is hunting for a great story, but one evening she meets Darko and ends up locked in a bedroom, and he has the only key. It’s not a kidnapping, but she wouldn’t mind. A mysterious message from a woman will introduce her to a network of secret houses where the victims of trafficking are hidden. In one of these houses, she will meet Nikolina, her age, and more than what she seems. Meanwhile, back in Barcelona, her father awaits, with whom she has a complex relationship that has marked her since childhood.

There are experiences that can only be told from afar. The protagonist of this story looks back to those days of desire and violence to understand how much of what she thought she knew about herself was actually true.
