Overview
"The Persecutor Comes Home: Story of Umar" tells of the conversion to Islam of one of the most famous Companions of the Blessed Prophet. Umar, a man of strong will and character, was curious about the faith of Islam, yet was furious when he found out that members of his family, particularly his sister Fatimah, had joined the faith. In great anger Umar proceeded to his sister's house where a scuffle took place. But when Umar realised that Fatimah was not prepared to give up her new faith and reflected upon the wisdom of the new verses of the Qur'an which she had given him, his heart mellowed and he left in search of the Blessed Prophet, from whom he accepted Islam. This work is recommended for ages 7-11 year olds, Key Stage 2.
