March 16, 1944: former New York Giants starter Col. Florimond Duke, Capt. Guy Nunn, and Maj. Alfred Suarez embarked on the most dangerous mission of their military careers, Operation: SPARROW, a covert mission that would have them parachuting deep into Europe to negotiate Hungary's surrender to the Allies.
