  • Overview

A new volume of works by Spanish artist Mersuka Dopazo, whose densely patterned works, often using natural materials like leaves, sand, burlap or paper, explore color and space.

The works chosen for this new book sow the influence of the artist’s years of experimentation, ranging from Cezanne’s post-impressionism to the techniques of pure abstractionism with a preference for larger formats and use of a wide assortment of materials. All of her works characteristically show great originality and lyricism. Her creations also include a series of figurative works, like seascapes or portraits, where she displays a harmonious combination of sinuous brushstroke.

Dopazo’s works have been exhibited extensively in the USA, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong and Europe.
