Overview
A new collection of recent works by acclaimed illustrator and storyteller Mark Schultz!
Manifest—epic scenes of science-fantasy adventure! Manifest—a volume spanning a galaxy of past and future worlds! Manifest—a majestic journey beyond space and time! You won't believe what your eyes make—Manifest!
Gathering artwork created over the last several years, Manifest showcases Mark Schultz's thrilling blend of pulp adventure, fantasy and science-fiction imagery. Rendered in graphite, carbon pencil and brush-and-ink, this collection offers a look into the artist's creative process, with many illustrations presented in penciled form alongside their completed inked versions. Two expansive gatefolds trace the development of a pair of major commissions through a sequence of preliminary sketches leading to the finished artwork.
Featuring illustrations created for comics, books and commissions, as well as a wealth of personal works, Manifest highlights Schultz's enduring passion for visual storytelling. Included are new scenes featuring Jack and Hannah from the beloved Xenozoic saga, explorations for future Storms at Sea adventures, and numerous previously unseen pieces inspired by the stories, genres and worlds that have fueled the artist’s imagination throughout his career.
