Born in the Netherlands in 1927, Dick Bruna developed his distinctive style as a designer and illustrator taking inspiration from the master painters, including Henri Matisse, Piet Mondrian, and Pablo Picasso. In turn, Dick Bruna's work has and continues to inspire many other artists, graphic designers, illustrators, and fashion and interior designers.
Now, budding artists can learn how to make art through Dick Bruna’s most famous creation, Miffy. In Make Art with Miffy, toddlers will discover how to make their first portrait, landscape, hanging mobile, mural, and pattern designs using easy stencils and colored papers bound into the book. Featuring a set of Miffy stickers, this chunky art activity book passes on the original techniques used by Dick Bruna to inspire the next generation of artists.
