Overview
ENGLISH DESCRIPTION
In the four stories that make up Álbum de familia, the reader cannot escape a profound and ironic prose when witnessing a newlywed’s cooking lesson, participating in a Sunday gathering where all kinds of sexual and social relationships are discussed, observing a mother’s blindness to the abnormality she herself fostered in her children, and finally, peering into the worlds filled with anger and envy of certain intellectual ladies.
An extraordinary gallery of female characters superbly narrated by the great Mexican poet, storyteller, playwright, and essayist.
