  • Overview

EL IMPERIO MEXICA TENDRÁ QUE DEMOSTRAR SU PODER Y GRANDEZA ANTES DE QUE SEA DEMASIADO TARDE…

Tenochtitlan, 1520.

    ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

THE MEXICA EMPIRE WILL HAVE TO DISPLAY ITS POWER AND GREATNESS BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE...

Tenochtitlan, 1520. The fine treatment Motecuhzoma has given Castilians since their arrival rouses suspicion amongst the Mexica people. As a gesture of trust, the huey tlahtoani delivers several noble maidens to the foreigners, so harmony may prevail across the empire. One of them is Citlalli, a fierce young woman who must now please Gonzalo, captain of the Spanish sword and buckler infantry, and obey his commands. Convinced of the importance of her role in maintaining peace, Citlali will break the promise she made her love, Cuauhtli, skilled Tenochca warrior of humble origins, with whom she had planned to run away with to save their love. However, peace is only apparent and terribly frail. When Pedro de Alvarado takes advantage of Cortés’ absence to perpetrate a massacre at the Templo Mayor, any possible alliance will then be null and the Mexica must fight to keep their hegemony and their honor.

Political conflict, epic battles, intrigue, and romance are the protagonists of The Last Mexica Victory, an ambitious novel where historical rigor and fiction intertwine to present one of the most passionate tales about the days leading up to the Noche Triste.
