  • Overview

    ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

Only in solitude, when the future is uncertain, does the true journey begin.

In the midst of a relationship crisis, a portrait painter of some prestige leaves Tokyo for the north of Japan. Confused, and immersed in his memories, he wanders around the country until, finally, a friend lets him use a small isolated house, surrounded by forests, that belongs to his father, a famous painter.

In short, a place to retire for a while. In a house with empty walls, after hearing strange noises, the protagonist discovers what looks like a painting, wrapped and with a label that reads: "Killing Commendatore." When he decides to unwrap it, a strange world opens before him, where Mozart's Don Giovanni, the commission of a portrait, a shy teenager and, of course, a commander, will fill his life with questions, where there only used to be dullness and boredom.

Killing Commendatore: Book 1 is a fascinating labyrinth where everyday life is plagued by indecipherable signs, by questions whose answers are still far from being glimpsed. The reader, like the protagonist, must remain very attentive.
