On board the ship are a drunk and angry captain, a man with some knowledge of medicine and a sinister individual. Among the shipment are some animals, such as a puma, a llama and several rabbits.
After arriving on a remote island in the South Seas, Prendick meets Dr. Moreau, a white-haired scientist whose faith in science has horrifying results. The discovery of the experiments perpetrated on the island will deeply disturb our protagonist.
