Under the current conception, sexuality is viewed in a partial manner, where the biological and physical aspects are emphasized from a hedonistic and impoverished perspective. However, what should interest us most is seeing sexuality in light of intelligent design. We refer to emotional sexuality, which should be seen as the soul of an integral sexuality.
Emotional sexuality is the crown of physical sexuality and includes aspects such as tenderness, the verbal expression of affection and love, the warm embrace of a loved one, and the pursuit of a respectful relationship in which intimacy is nourished not only emotionally but also spiritually.
Emotional sexuality is the manifestation of Genesis 2:25: “They were both naked, Adam and Eve, and they felt no shame.” In sexuality aligned with intelligent design, there are no secrets, and one can be “naked” before the other—not only physically, but also emotionally and spiritually, feeling at home, respected, and accepted.
In an era where the value of sexuality has been hijacked by humanism and personal interpretations, it is still possible to have a sexuality with purpose. True intimacy is the primary fruit of both sexual union and marital commitment!
