Zum 300. Todestag von Johann Andreas Wolff (1652–1716) zeigt die Staatliche Graphische Sammlung München Werke des Meisters. Der reich bebilderte Ausstellungskatalog ermöglicht die Entdeckung seiner brillanten, hochvirtuosen Zeichenkunst. Wolff war als kurfürstlicher Hofmaler in München und fürstbischöflicher Maler in Freising tätig. Ab etwa 1680 fertigte er Gemälde für sakrale und profane Bauten in Süddeutschland und Österreich. Prominentes Beispiel ist seine Mitwirkung an der neuen Ausstattung der Münchner Residenz unter Kurfürst Max Emanuel. Zudem schuf Wolff Vorlagen für Kunsthandwerker und Bildschnitzer sowie für Thesenblätter und Kalender, entwarf Deckengemälde, ephemere Triumphalbauten und Heilige Gräber. Katalog zur Ausstellung der Staatlichen Graphischen Sammlung München in der Pinakothek der Moderne vom 5. Mai bis 17. Juli 2016.
