  • Overview

Five teens on a daytrip exploring modern Samaria confront terrorist insurgents with access to blood magic, as worlds of ancient Jewish folklore and kabalistic archetypes collide in this exciting modern-day YA thriller set in the Israeli outback.

    Giants Roam the Night

On what should have been an exciting day hike in Israel’s modern-day Samaria region, seventeen year old Eran Cohen and a group of his friend come upon a bound American woman being interrogated by a terrorist holding her captive. The terrorist, who calls his organization the Seed of Amalek, demands the woman revel to him secret knowledge of  magical “keys” and “shems”—knowledge she obviously does not possess. Meanwhile, a terrifying blue-spiked monster lurks hungrily among the nearby rocks. In a moment, that monster springs after Eran and company!

The teens run for their lives, and as a terrifying night gives way to a blood-red dawn, stone spheres come tearing through the trees as something blocks the only trail back. It is a giant, straight out of the Hebrew folklore—beings half human, half made of stone—that Eran had always confidently dismissed as fairy tales. Until now.

But the giants are not the enemy. The Seed of Amalek has kidnapped their children and means to use them to tear down the walls between the Days of Creation, dooming our world to nonexistence. Now Eran must delve into his almost forgotten priestly heritage and draw upon ancient power to save the giants and keep the Seventh Day from breaking into our own world only to blast it back to brooding chaos forever.
