The graphic novel that portrays the life of one of the most important architects in history: Antoni Gaudí.
On June 7, 1926, as he was leaving the Sagrada Familia under construction, Antoni Gaudí was hit by a tram. Three days later, one of the world’s greatest architects died in the hospital.
Throughout his life, Gaudí reimagined Barcelona, drawing inspiration from the forms of nature, his travels, and his own family to shape some of the city’s most iconic buildings. However, he was not always considered a master of architecture: in his dandyish youth, his teachers considered him either crazy... or a genius.
This graphic novel by illustrator and cartoonist Max Vento explores the life of the master, the details of his childhood that shaped his personality, his great unrequited love, and the spiritual path that led him to leave everything behind for his great unfinished work: the Sagrada Familia.
