Overview
Susie Todd, former Master of Foxhounds of the Rolling Rock Hunt in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, has written a combination memoir of her life in Pittsburgh and the western Pennsylvania region, as well as the first comprehensive history of the eleven fox hunts that were active at one time or another in the western part of the state. The book is written in a breezy, entertaining style with lots of anecdotes and stories about the many prominent personalities who developed the sport of foxhunting in this rugged region of the country. The book is profusely illustrated with more than 50 black-and-white historical photographs and numerous pen and ink drawings by the author, a respected artist and sculptor in her own right.
