With a career spanning more than seven decades, The Isley Brothers have enjoyed one of the longest, most influential, and diverse careers in the pantheon of popular music. The group released monumental hits such as “Shout,” “This Old Heart of Mine,” and “It’s Your Thing” and helped launch the careers of The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and Elton John. They started their own record company, T-Neck Records, and solidified their status as one of the most iconic groups in music history, earning a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. 

In For the Love of You, Isley reflects on his journey from the child of two music lovers to a cornerstone member of the performing arts community. With his three brothers, Rudolph, Vernon, and O’Kelly, Ron spent his childhood performing for anyone who would listen. After becoming widely known in the Cincinatti area, the group moved to New York to chase their dream in the big leagues. Since then, the Isley Brothers have release countless hits, and remain a mainstay in the music world, having crossed paths with the biggest stars of every generation. From the 1950s to the 2020s, the Isley Brothers have had an immeasurable impact on the music industry and crafted a lasting legacy that can still be felt to this day.
