  • Overview

On October 11-13, 2018, Southeast Missouri State University’s Center for Faulkner Studies hosted “Faulkner and Garcia Marquez,” a three-day conference devoted to the writings and connections of Nobel Prize winners William Faulkner and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. The conference featured presentations by thirty-two from fourteen different U.S. states and three foreign countries (Brazil, Taiwan, and Japan). The essays in this book represent expanded versions of some of the outstanding presentations at the conference.
