El olor de las orquídeas (Spanish Edition)

Son los años cincuenta, Raquel y Alejo se aman a escondidas: los prejuicios del padre de Raquel les impiden verse libremente. Sin embargo, las precauciones para no ser encontrados fallan y una noche los protagonistas son sorprendidos. El castigo es la separación, la que llevará a Raquel a París y a Alejo, a la Amazonía peruana.

Carmina, Nana y Santiago entrarán en sus vidas de maneras inesperadas, muchos años después. Estos cinco personajes se verán relacionados con un vestido de novia, y cada uno de ellos narrará la historia desde su propia perspectiva, aunque alguno tenga que hacerlo desde la mismísima muerte, convertido en un fantasma que vaga por el Amazonas.

The Smell of Orchids

It is the fifties, Raquel and Alejo love each other secretly: the prejudices of Raquel's father prevent them from seeing each other freely. However, the precautions to avoid being found fail and one night the protagonists are surprised. The punishment is separation, which will lead Raquel to Paris and Alejo to the Peruvian Amazon.

Carmina, Nana and Santiago will enter their lives in unexpected ways, many years later. These five characters will be related by a wedding dress, and each of them will narrate the story from their own perspective, although some of them will have to do it from death itself, as a ghost wandering through the Amazon.
