  • Overview

This investigation delves into the relationships that the Mexican State intelligence and public security officer maintained for two six-year terms, and which reached a degree of fraternity with the main drug lords, who in theory were your capture targets.

After a meticulous documentary and testimonial review of criminal files and drug trafficking actors, in this journalistic work it is exposed how Genaro García Luna was the strongest ally of the main drug trafficker, Joaquín Guzmán Loera, contributing greatly to the strengthening and growth of the Sinaloa Cartel, one of the most powerful criminal organizations in the world.

The investigation is reinforced with judicial files, inquiries and sentences, statements of convicted persons, defendants and witnesses, as well as psychological studies carried out in prisons. Here the main collaborators of García Luna are pointed out, and how they operated in the criminal and political fabric not only to allow the free operation of drug trafficking groups, but to mask the national reality in an apparent fight against crime, making justice a true media farce, as in the cases of "El Michoacanazo", "Operation Cleaning", "The Band of the Zodiacs", "Florence Cassez Case" and other shameful episodes of the drug war in Mexico.
