Overview
Furry, feathered, and scaled—our favorite animal friends are back! There’s just one big problem: It’s past their bedtime, but the reader has woken them up by opening the book!
Each of the six animals needs a little something different to get back to sleep—whether it’s a bedtime story, a lullaby, or a little help counting Flamingo’s three toes. The reader helps each animal drift off by rocking the book, joining in the breathing exercises, or petting scared-of-the-dark Giraffe’s neck, which may in fact also help them fall asleep.
With colorful speech bubbles and playful prompts, readers are invited to take an active role in every routine, practicing skills like following directions, reading to the animals, and showing empathy along the way. It’s a silly adventure as the animals and the reader work together to chase away nighttime worries, proving that with a little imagination—and a lot of teamwork—bedtime can be fun for everyone!
