After the unexpected death of millionaire Richard Abernethie, his family gathers to hear the will: the estate will be divided equally among the members, though some are not satisfied with this arrangement. When Cora, Richard’s sister, claims that he was murdered, everyone dismisses it as part of her eccentric nature. However, the next day Cora is brutally killed, and her words take on a new meaning. Each family member had a motive to claim their share of the inheritance, and none has a convincing alibi.

Who stood to gain the most from the two deaths? Hercule Poirot will take charge of solving this crime where appearances are deceiving.
