Der Einsteinturm ist das prägende Bauwerk auf dem Telegrafenberg in Potsdam. Das Sonnenobservatorium ist eines der berühmtesten Bauwerke des Architekten Erich Mendelsohn. Der Einsteinturm wurde 1924 fertiggestellt. Heute gilt er als eines der originellsten und wichtigsten Bauwerke des 20. Jahrhunderts. Bis zum Zweiten Weltkrieg war der Einsteinturm das wissenschaftlich bedeutendste Sonnenteleskop in Europa. Der Einsteinturm ist heute ein Teil des Astrophysikalischen Instituts Potsdam.
