The classic tales in a wonderful translation by Carmen Martín Gaite.
Folktales such as Little Red Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty, or Puss in Boots did not always have a happy ending. These stories circulated orally and sometimes with overly macabre endings. Charles Perrault was the first to soften the harshness of these oral versions and compile them under the title Tales of Mother Goose, which we collect here. This volume includes the following stories: Sleeping Beauty of the Forest, Little Red Riding Hood, Bluebeard, Puss in Boots, The Fairies, Cinderella, Riquette with the Tuft, Tom Thumb and Donkey Skin.
