Overview
The Continental Divide, National Scenic Trail, or simply the CDT stretches 3,100 miles through some of the nation's most spectacular terrain. Following the Continental Divide of the Americas along the Rocky Mountains, the trail connects Mexico to Canada by traveling through five states: New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana. It is part of the Triple Crown of long-distance hiking in the US., sharing the honor with the coast's Appalachian Trail and the west coast's Pacific Crest Trail. The CDT was established by Congress in 1978 and is considered one of the largest conservation efforts in the nation's history. Some 200 long-distance hikers complete the full trail each year. Artist Nate Padavick celebrates the CDT and its trekkers with this True South creation. Made in the USA
