Overview
Bilingual Edition (english / german):
In his collages, the Berlin architect Klaus Theo Brenner—who coined the term “Stadtarchitektur” or urban architecture—engages with both the urban mix and public space. The collages reflect a broad spectrum—sometimes coming closer to his office's projects, sometimes less so. What they have in common is an atmospheric compression and the elaboration of theatrical qualities. The numerous works, presented together in this volume for the first time, convey an architecture that is always situated in an urban context, in relation to the city’s inhabitants and the reality of their lives.
