But the city is suffering in the middle of violence and misery, far from it's past glory. The return of its most rebellious youth becomes a big event, and acclaimed by its inhabitants, Casanova doesn't waste any occasion to get the attention of the nobles and aristocrats. Very soon, the Austrian countess Margareth von Steinberg throws him a challenge: seduce the very young Francesca Erizzo before she gets married. A challenge the famous seducer accepts without foreseeing the feelings that the young Francesca will awaken in him, or the danger that's hidden behind this apparent courtly game. Because the high levels of society have only one goal: end Casanova before he becomes a real threat the interests of the Republic of Venice."
