Overview

Molly, Lucy’s straight best friend, concocts a plan for Lucy to meet her match. Soon, Isabel, a professional dancer, sweeps Lucy, the only gringa in her salsa class, off her feet. Lucy hopes Isabel (Isa) prefers women, like she does. When Jessica, Lucy’s trans Black friend and colleague, invites Lucy to her art show, Jessica’s former classmate shows up. It’s Isa. Sparks fly. After Lucy and Isa start dating, Lucy realizes her brain is wired differently, but she can’t figure out why. When her parents make a disastrous surprise visit to San Francisco, Lucy struggles to keep her relationship with Isa, embarking on a journey of deep personal growth and self-discovery.
