Overview
Send cards with beautiful Renaissance angels from Galison's Angels Deluxe Notecard Collection. The box holds six cards each of: An angel bearing a lily, based on a detail of Fra Filippo Lippi's The Annunciation. The tempera on panel, painted ca. 1445-1450, is in the Galleria Doria Pamphilj in Rome; A detail of Fra Angelico's Annunciatory Angel, gold leaf and tempera on wood panel painted 1450-1455, now in the Detroit Institute of Arts; A detail of Melozzo Forli's Musical Angel with Violin from the Vatican Museums and Galeries; and A beautifully robed Angel of the Annunciation by Fra Angelico, 1437. The tempera and gold leaf on panel painting is in the Galleria Nazionale dell'Umbria in Perugia.
