Overview
A Conscious Home is a beautifully crafted interior design book that balances heart and style in equal measure. Showcasing 20 unique homes by designer Georgia Ezra, it invites you to create spaces that tell your story, celebrate traditional craftsmanship, and embrace the beauty of natural materials.
Author and interior designer Georgia Ezra's design philosophy is deeply rooted in authenticity, sensory experience, and a reverence for craftsmanship and the natural world. Her approach transcends trend-based design and she believes conscious design also extends to choosing materials that are sustainable, environmentally conscious and built to last, and champions working with artisanal makers to create homes that are true one-offs.
At the heart of Georgia's practice is a deep respect for the handmade. Intentionally integrating artisanal objects, custom-made furniture and architectural finishes into every project, she believes these pieces carry the imperfect beauty and energy of the maker, bringing their spirit into the space.
Georgia designs homes where the emotional wellbeing of the client, or how they feel when they step through their front door, is more important than design trends. As Georgia says, ‘Each design we take on is like playing matchmaker between home and homeowner.’ Her goal is not to impress, but to express. To build a home that reflects the people who live in it, to honour craftsmanship, and to welcome the past into the present with grace and authenticity.
