Overview
• Spectacular large format boat race pictures in Caribbean seas• The next Voiles de Saint-Barth race is 11th-16th April 2016It did not take long for Les Voiles de St-Barth to become a must-attend event in the Caribbean yachting season. It attracts the best sailors, often involved in the most prestigious international sailing circuits such as the America's Cup or the Olympics, including Loïck Peyron, Lionel Péan, Bruno Troublé, Ken Read, Peter Holmberg, Cam Lewis and Terry Hutchinson, to name just a few.The fleet has grown bigger year after year, with more and more Maxis and multihulls entering the competition. These big, fast boats are often involved in the other major regattas in the Caribbean.Contents: Set Sail for St. Barths; Of Boats and Men; The Sea, Always Reinvented; A Regatta for Gentlemen Sailors; Six Years of Regattas; Palmares and classes.Text in English and French.Christophe Jouany fell in love with photography at a very young age when his father gave him his first camera. Christophe was born in France and grew up in the French Alps, before moving to Paris and the Caribbean. The variety and beauty of these areas would forge his love of nature and the outdoors and define his style. Today, the power of nature continues to permeate his work. He started out directing extreme sport films and mastered the art of capturing stills of his adventures. After a brief career as an airline pilot, he moved to NYC in 1984 to pursue his passion for photography. His knowledge of the mountains, desert and sea took him to the four corners of the globe. He worked on advertising campaigns, photographing celebrities as well as covers and stories for leading fashion magazines. For the past six years he has enjoyed being the official photographer of Les Voiles de St-Barth.
